The Coverage Cove standard

How we research, write, and review

Our goal is to make complicated household decisions easier to understand without disguising advertising as advice or turning a possibility into a promise.

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Useful before commercial

Every guide should explain the decision, define important terms, and offer checks or questions that remain useful even if you never visit a partner.

Possibilities, not promises

We do not promise savings, earnings, provider availability, eligibility, coverage, approval, rewards, or any other outcome controlled by a third party.

Visible commercial context

Advertising, sponsored placements, affiliate relationships, and third-party handoffs should be recognizable before a visitor acts.

Corrections and updates

We revise material when we find a meaningful error or when the underlying rules, provider terms, or market context changes.

Our review process

  1. Start with the question a visitor is actually trying to answer.
  2. Use primary sources when rules, policy, safety, or eligibility are material.
  3. Separate general education from professional, legal, medical, insurance, or financial advice.
  4. Check claims, links, disclaimers, and third-party handoffs before publication.
  5. Revisit a guide when we learn that a material fact or destination has changed.

How commerce affects content

Compensation can affect which offers are available to us and where a partner appears. It does not permit us to hide material limitations, invent results, or describe a sponsored option as the only option. Coverage Cove does not claim to compare every provider or offer in a market.

Corrections

If you believe a page is inaccurate, unclear, outdated, or missing a material disclosure, tell us through our contact page. Include the page address and the detail you would like us to review. We assess correction requests rather than silently treating published content as finished forever.
